What information do you need from me to begin booking a shipping vessel for my vehicle?

A
The following information are necessary to start the shipping process.

  • Port of Discharge
  • Your nearest port where the vessel will unload your cargo.

  • Vehicle Destination
  • Where the vehicle will actually be used. Please provide the name of the country where the vehicle will be registered for use.

  • Consignee
  • This is the vehicle’s “owner-to-be.” Please list the consignee’s full name as well as the “real” name shown on his/her passport or ID, full address (without any abbreviations), and phone number(s).

  • Notify Party
  • This is the person that the shipping agent contacts to notify the confirmed arrival date of your vessel to the port. If you have a private clearing agent, you may list them here, though it is not mandatory as you do not need to declare a clearing agent on the B/L. If you have not hired an agent, it is easiest to simply write in “Same as Consignee”.

  • DHL Delivery Address
  • This information is required so that we can mail your documents, including your B/L, by DHL courier. Please provide the full name of the recipient, full address (without any abbreviations), and phone number(s).

How long does it take to get the car after payment?

After confirming your payment, we will start booking for the shipping company.Kindly check the estimated shipping time for each detination region as follow; Africa: On average it takes 6-8 weeks. Georgia: Carribean: Pacific Region: South America, Europe

How can I see if my vehicle has really been loaded onto the vessel as scheduled?

Please visit the transaction information in your user account. We announce the ETD (Estimated Time of Departure), ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) and status of your shipment. You can also contact the shipping company and ask about the shipping status using your BL (Bill of Lading) Number.

Why are there so many changes and delays?

These changes are dependent on the circumstances of the shipping company, and SBI Motor Japan is 100% affected by these changes. In addition, it is very unstable due to COVID-19 these days. This is equal for all buyers.

What to do after arriving the car at the port?

We only carry to your nearest port. You have to drive yourself or ask the local shipping agent.

Can you ship auto parts inside the vehicle I am buying?

No, we are not allowed to put anything inside the vehicle unless it is shipped by container.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide this information.

Can I see if my vehicle passed its inspection?

Yes, We will upload the inspection certificate in your account once it has been received from the inspection agency.

What kind of shipping options do you have?

Our company mainly used RORO for shipment. If the client requested, we can arrange container shipment too. Kindly contact the sales agent for more information.
